This Task-Pro unit is a full steel bodied machine with a 1.5 HP motor, dual capacitors, and a triple planetary steel transmission. It could easily be used for carpet bonneting, but most people prefer a slightly smaller model like the 17" 1.5 HP buffer, also manufactured by Task-Pro. Either machine is powerful enough to accomplish any job it's handed, including stripping, buffing, or scrubbing floors, as well as carpet bonneting.
I was looking for a floor stripping machine for use at our church. We have a large tiled floor in our fellowship hall which gets a lot of use. I ordered this machine and it came in about a week after it was ordered. We are waiting until after the first of the year and then we plan to strip the floor. It is very quiet and his heavy which will aid in effortless floor stripping. Looking forward to using this for several years. I plan on buying a tank and brush head to use on our carpets with this machine. When I ordered it, I didn’t realize it could do both with the right attachment Thank you clean freak for a quality machine At a great price.
