Viper Shovelnose Trot Mop Wet Dry Vacuum w/ Squeegee

The Viper Shovelnose wet / dry vacuum comes complete with a front mount squeegee, otherwise known as a trot mop. This vacuum excels in any type of wet pickup with the front mount squeegee, but it is an essential tool in any floor stripping program. It takes out all the tedious parts of recovery, and does all the work for you. Take a look at our floor stripping procedure page for proper step by step instructions on how to remove floor wax from commercial floors.
This trot mop vacuum makes picking up that stripped wax a cinch! It can be used to recover in either forward or reverse, so no movement is wasted when recovering. Make sure to thoroughly clean out the vacuum after you are finished. If any type of stripper dries with the wax in the machine, it can clog lines, causing the machine to be either highly inefficient, or the worst case scenario, completely inoperable. Take a look at our complete line of stripper recovery vacuums with squeegees for other options.
We do have trot mop replacement squeegee blades and recovery pickup tool squeegee blades available in our vacuum hoses, squeegees & tools category for the front mounted trot mop. If your trot mop begins to leave solution on the floor, or starts to streak, you should immediately replace these squeegee blades.
Tim C says - "You need to use a defoamer whenever you're recovering liquids with this vacuum, especially if you're stripping floors or dealing with any type of slurry solution. Failure to use a defoamer can cause the seal plate on the end of the ball float to become so hot that it starts to melt and weld itself to the bottom of the vac motor assembly. This prevents the seal plate from dropping back down when the recovery tank is emptied, resulting in a blockage and total loss of suction. Replacing the seal plate requires disassembling the entire vacuum, which voids the warranty. So, to reiterate, we always recommend using a defoaming product in any water recovery scenario with this vacuum."
