These blue trash can liners can be used for both trash and recycling bins. The 23 gallon bags fit snugly into several different style of office and kitchen style cans. They are a 1.5 mil bag, so they will stand up well with heavy, wet, or trash with sharp edges, like kitchen waste, construction debris, or anything containing glass, metal, or wood. Their flexibility and puncture resistance make them ideal for handling tough materials that could easily tear through a standard bag.

Blue trash bags are often used for recycling, but some say that you should not put bin liners in recycling containers. Blue bags can slow down sorting machines that separate paper from heavier materials. It is still a good idea to line the trash container with a liner, but then to dump the recycled materials into a large bin & dispose of the bag.
